What the Job Entails
An online supplier of recycled original equipment (OE) parts for cars and light-duty trucks, this client has built a reputation for providing quality products and expert auto services throughout North America, all while keeping prices down. Currently, this employer is seeking multiple Production Techs to work as transmission assemblers in the OKC area.
Among other tasks, the desired candidate will be able to:
- Study and utilize schematic designs and blueprints
- Perform complex assembly of transmissions according to established specifications
- Adhere to assembly and testing procedures to ensure product quality
- Monitor equipment function
- Handle final checks and adjustments
Additionally, qualified applicants will be able to perform a variety of transmission-related duties, including installations, repairs, replacements, and refittings. They should possess solid mathematical skills, including an ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, and a firm commitment to following safety protocols at all times. Other desired skills include oral and written communication, report writing, and the capacity to lift up to 60 pounds and work through temperature extremes.
Educational Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience as a transmission builder and/or machinist. However, our client will consider applicants with equivalent skills and training.
